Bristol Zoo 2017
Last term, year 5 took an exciting trip to Bristol Zoo.
When we first arrived at the zoo, we attended a workshop that complimented our 'evolution and inheritance' science topic. During this workshop, we learnt about the evolution and adaptions of different animal species over time and the reasons why. We also got the opportunity to handle small animals, including mealworms and a terrapin!
After the workshop, we explored the zoo and saw a variety of animals (lions and tigers, seals, fish, reptiles, insects and different species of monkey just to name a few). We were lucky enough to see baby gorillas and other monkeys and catch a bird show as we settled on the lawn for lunch.
